Our Pastor

The Reverend Everett L. Kilgo is the founding pastor for the New Renaissance Fellowship Church of Yonkers.  Reverend Kilgo began his ministry at twelve years of age serving as the choir director and musician at the Trinity Holy Church of Jamaica, Queens; Evangelist Geraldine McDaniels, Pastor.  Reverend Kilgo first acknowledged his call to ministry during his tenure at “THC”, but didnot actively pursue its fulfillment until he completed his enlistment in the US Air Force, thereafter returning to New York City.  Shortly after his return, Reverend Kilgo resumed his work in the ministry of music playing for several churches.  During this period, he would become a member at the Allen AME Church of Jamaica, where former congressmen, the Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake is the senior pastor.  It was during this period that Rev. Kilgo would begin ministerial school and be ordained in 1990.  He would serve in various offices while at Allen Church, including Music Director for several choirs, Co-Minister to Youth, and sundry duties.  Rev. Kilgo began seminary studies in the Fall of 1994 followed by a call to his first pastorate at the Cambria Heights Community Church.  After serving this congregation for six years, Rev. Kilgo moved forward to the Messiah Baptist Church serving as Minister of Music  and Associate Minister.  After six years of service Rev. Kilgo would found the New Renaissance  Fellowship Church where innovation in sharing the gospel is the prime directive.  As great as this opportunity has shown itself to be, we believe we there so much more awaits our faithful congregation.  The Fellowship will indeed get to the place it journey leads under the able leadership of the Pastor and his staff.
